Open access makes academic research freely and permanently available online. We are pleased to offer authors the option to publish Open Access either their complete academic book or a chapter. Our Open Access books adhere to the same high-level quality peer-review, production and publishing processes followed for all Common Ground Research Network Book Imprints. And importantly, we offer this service at a price that makes open access an affordable option for as many authors as possible.

Our Model -- Academic Book

Making your entire book open access allows unrestricted online access to your research -- increasing readership and the chances of your work having a broader impact on society. It offers a path to comply with funders' open access mandates. And at the same time, you can still earn royalties in print editions of your work.

Access

Public access is the final published ebook in the CGScholar Bookstore.
Access is immediate on publication.

Use

Open access books are made available under the CC-BY-NC-ND license.
You are free to share the ebook anywhere and at any time.

Royalties

A print version of the book will also be made available to purchase in hardback and/or paperback formats.
Authors still also receive royalties from print sales.

We offer this service at a price that makes open access an affordable option for as many authors as possible.

Our Model -- Partial Open Access

Authors published and authors of a book currently in-press, with Common Ground Research Networks are offered the option of making a single, or multiple chapters, Open Access. Our Open Access chapters are licensed using the Creative Commons license, “Attribution-Non-Commercial-No-Derivatives 4.0 International” (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). The per chapter fee is $250USD.
